Her Sanctuary

Elizabeth Ward has information that would send Andrew DeLattio, a powerful man, away for a long time. Because of this, the ex-FBI agent is now running for her life. After already suffering terrible consequences from Andrew, she searches for a safe location, a sanctuary where she can recover from her attack and perhaps find some solace. Setting her sights on Montana, and a new identity, of Eliza Reed, she heads to the Triple H Ranch, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. She had no idea she would find a different danger in the arms of Nat Sullivan, or that the simple fact of her hiding out would aggravate Andrew further. Nat gave up being a photographer for the National Geographic after the death of his father to run the ranch. Since his mother’s heart attack, the bills have almost sent the ranch into bankruptcy, so to help maintain living expenses he rents out cottages. After he has the acquaintance of meeting Elizabeth, he realizes the enjoyment that he has missed that often comes with life. The attraction he feels for her is strong but there is something that seems to trouble her. He wonders if she was abused in her lifetime. In Nat’s arms, she feels as if she can trust him, but all that is about to change when her assailant discovers her whereabouts and revenge takes on more meaning.

Her Sanctuary is a story that will plunge the reader into the deep scars that trouble Elizabeth as she flees for safety. Once I started reading, I was hooked until the conclusion. I could almost feel the pain Elizabeth endured when the nightmares continued to plague her dreams. The thought of being touched by any man sends shivers through her, and her emotions really escape the pages. I loved how Nat was caring and understood, even though he showed his own weakness over matters on occasion. Ms. Anderson entices the reader immediately with her storytelling. She pens characters that the reader can relate to and enhances a dialogue that flows easily. With a well-crafted plot, and a passionate and stirring romance between Nat and Elizabeth, she generates an outstanding read that is invigorating. I was on the edge of my seat when Elizabeth was being chased by the mob. Suspenseful, riveting and explosive, this reader absolutely loved this story, and the cover is quite nice, too.
