Prince Norquar has a score to settle, throne to reclaim, and a bride to take from his uncle Blains. The man who happens to be the King, after he forcibly killed Norquar’s parents. As he sets his plan in motion, Norquar wants what is rightfully his as well as to marry the untouched Queen as revenge. Norquar isn’t a cruel man like his uncle and is determined to keep the Queen safe while removing all threats from his kingdom. Sending her to the Planet of Veils, he hand selects the mistress to watch over her.

Belayla is set to marry King Blains, a man she has no love for, but is unable to refuse his offer. Upon the day of her wedding, the city of Jenous is attacked and the King is killed. Captured by a man with eyes she could get lost in, Belayla is left feeling uncertain and angry when she awakens to find herself secured away at a planet meant to train innocence people in the acts of submission.

As the weeks go by, Norquar secures his throne and desperately wants to retrieve his queen. Unsure how she got to him so quickly, he is left unable to be away from her any longer. Belayla has spent the last few weeks fighting against a sadistic dominatrix, plotting revenge upon the man that left her in Mistress Donestra’s hands, and planning her escape. In the midst of a ceremony, Norquar arrives for his wife, Belayla escapes from Donestra, another man hunts for Belayla, desperately wanting her as his own, and Norquar learns some very unsettling news about the situation his unknowingly left his wife in. Can Norquar find Belayla and repair the damage this one decision has made? Will Belayla be able to escape all of those who are hunting to recapture her? Is there any possibility of a future for King Norquar and his Queen Belayla?

Planet of Veils instantly grabs the reader’s attention with an overwhelming love shared between the King and his future Queen and the horrible lengths to which a jealous man will go to have what isn’t rightfully his. Sultry Summers has done a wonderful job at building an enormous amount of history in a few pages, leaving readers drawn to certain characters and wishing for a slow agonizing end for another. Upon Norquar and Belayla’s entrance into this story, readers will be cheering for them to right all the wrongs done in the past and have a future that Norquar’s parents would be proud of. Once again, secondary characters will have readers gripping the pages in emotional heartache and unable to put the story down until they have been dealt with. The chemistry between Norquar and Belayla is a physical explosion and a tender heartfelt moment that will leave readers overjoyed. As the last page was turned, this reader was amazed at the journey I experienced and has me hoping there is a follow-up sequel to settle some additional scores. There is definitely a character out there that needs to be punished, one that needs to find love and her way home, and two characters readers will love to revisit. Planet of Veils offers an emotional, erotic, and action-packed plot that this reader had to read in one setting for fear of missing something. 5 Angels!
