Sweet Summer Rain
In the steamy bayou’s of South Lousiana, Jonas Horville has finished high school and can now work full time to help support his single mom. Working for Benjamin Dugas as a farm hand brings more than just a tired body by the end of the day. Jonas also has to contend with his feelings for his best friend Nikki, Dugas’ daughter and the one who makes him want to risk the job he so desperately needs. Nikki is a passionate teenager who will do anything to prevent a local harlot from grabbing hold of Jonas, even though he has always been just a friend to her. After their first night as lovers leads to a rough and kinky tryst that emphasizes just how compatible these two are, Jonas is faced with a decision that will lead to heartache for both of them. Just when true love is finally in his grasps someone, with ulterior motives, will cause a rift between Jonas and Nikki that may spell the end of the love affair that just began.
Warning to anyone who decides to pick up this story: this is not for the meek or mild! A story full of some of the kinkiest encounters I’ve ever read in a contemporary erotica piece, Cheri Valmont takes readers on a trip to the darker side of lust and love. Using a young adventurous couple in love to entice readers with the thrill of slapping and biting was quite extreme, and I have to admit to finding myself a little shocked at the extent of the sexual violence that took place. Consenting as it was, you wondered what really drove Jonas’ and Nikki’s need to feel pain while making love, especially considering Nikki’s lack of actual experience before she became involved with her best friend. I confess that I found ninety percent of this story to be fascinating and inflaming. My only issue is the ending. The secondary characters play an intricate role in this story but also a pretty vile one. Considering the shocking turns this story takes toward the end, it is well written and creative. Some of the shock caused me to lose a little bit of the high the beginning of the story produced. I’m sure readers will find this story captivating even if it’s because you can’t believe the extremes Ms. Valmont takes while weaving this controversial piece of erotica. I would be remiss if I didn’t reiterate my initial warning to sensitive readers.
