Standoff

Standoff is Book 5 in Lauren Dane’s Cascadia Wolves series.

Grace Pellini had been without a pack for many years because of the disgusting behavior committed by her brother, Warren. As a matter of fact, Grace had been estranged from her entire family because she refused to follow in the footsteps of Warren. But, as luck would have it, Warren was in need of Grace’s expertise and it wasn’t long before she was able to compile incriminating evidence of his unethical dirty deeds to take to the Nationally Allied Packs. The instant Grace walked into the meeting with some of the Nationally Allied Packs representatives; she knew that she had found her mate – the Cascadia pack leader named Cade Warden. But, will his pack willingly welcome her into their clan knowing that her brother was out to destroy the entire wolf nation? And, what of her brother – what will he do after he learns of her betrayal? More importantly, will the Nationally Allied Packs be able to stop Warren once and for all before he succeeded at creating his biological weapon?

Devoted fans that have been following Lauren Dane’s Cascaida Wolves series will be jumping with glee to finally see Cade bestowed with a mate. Cade was first introduced in the preliminary story as the anchor to his brother/Enforcer’s mate and he has since played an important role as pack leader throughout the entire series. As you can imagine, Cade was a true alpha both as a mate and as a leader. He had a very domineering nature and expected his word to be carried out without any rebellious backlash. So, when he met Grace, his mate, Cade was thrown for a loop. Because of her small build Grace appeared to be timid and delicate like; but, she was just the opposite. She was no push over. Instead she was very strong-willed with a sassy attitude to match – the perfect match for Cade. The passion between them was explosively hot and the sex had me burning with lustful desire. I couldn’t get enough of these two. Thanks go to Ms. Dane for such a spectacular read!
