The Masters: Rune

The Masters: Rune is the first novel in Kate Hill’s The Masters series.

Doe has been a vampire for two years, and she was determined to prove that she could undergo the sexual gantlet at the vampire haven Sunlight of the Soul like any other accomplished vampire. Excited and somewhat anxious due to the unknown, Doe made an appointment and waited for her opportunity to experience time at the Sunlight of the Soul.

Rune was one of the first vampires to become a Master of Ecstasy at the Sunlight of the Soul, and over time he has become one of the most popular Masters chosen to steer a client through the sexual gantlet. After many centuries without a mate, Rune wasn’t looking for love; however, love ploughed him down in the form of a sweet, young woman who had just begun her journey as a vampire. Will Rune accept what fate has given him or will he set Doe free in order to spread her newly found vampire wings?

Kate Hill has started out with a bang with her introductory novella in The Masters series. The plot focused on a chaste, innocent woman teaching a seasoned, dominant warrior how to love. Straight away, I fell in love with Rune. He was dominant yet gentle and very protective, but willing to sacrifice his feelings to do what his thought was best for Doe. Suddenly, the roles were reversed, and the dominator became the dominated as Rune fell deeply under Doe’s enchanting charm as they trekked through the sexual gantlet. Although, she was naïve in many ways, Doe wasn’t a shrinking violet. She was determined and eager to explore her sexuality. The sexual play between Rune and Doe was lustfully hot, erotically passionate and left me breathless with desire. The Masters: Rune instantly grabbed me and eager to get my hands on its sequel.
