Kitty Lazarus is a video store owner with a “gift.” She can read other peoples minds. So when Haden Blackwood walks in her store she can’t help but read his, but unlike with others, Kitty gets vivid, three dimensional images that make her feel like she is part of Haden’s thoughts and fantasies. But Haden has secrets that he wants to keep hidden. He can’t afford to feel this attraction to Kitty, much less act on it. However, Haden’s past is about to catch up to him and jeopardize everything he has worked so hard to accomplish.

Shara Lanel provides an interesting take on mind readers and werewolves in this engaging tale. Blame it on the Moon has a little bit of something for everyone. Murder, mystery, paranormal elements, and intrigue, it is sure to delight. I could not put this book down. Kitty, as a mind reader who came into her gift later in life, had developed her own set of ethics about her gift and how to use it. Haden is a man tortured by his curse and the events in his past. When the two meet, they are irresistibly drawn to each other, even after Kitty reads his less than favorable thoughts about her store. Haden’s mysterious past had me holding my breath as it unfolded. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how the story would unfold. I highly recommend this awesome story!
