Derek is a successful man who has been searching for the perfect partner, someone who likes pain mixed with pleasure. But during his search something unexpected happens, he becomes the victim. After escaping he is on the hunt for revenge. While looking for the man that victimized him, he runs into Blue, a young homeless blue haired man. Things take an interesting turn when the man that victimized Derek picks up Blue. Derek rescues Blue and ends up taking him to his home. Blue, waking up clean but in chains, is at first confused but then decides to make the best of the situation, especially after he realizes that Derek is his mysterious captor

Katrina Strauss has written a wonderful addition to the Yaoi subgenre of erotica. The characters of Derek and Blue are well written and fully fleshed. The byplay between them is erotically charged and burns up the pages, I couldn’t turn them fast enough. The bondage scenes show the interrelationship between the Dom and the Sub. Steamy, intense, and filled with action and a bit of mystery Some Kind of Stranger is a must read for lovers of Yaoi. The humorous dialog between Derek and Blue lightened some scenes and showed the developing feelings between the two. I felt like I was truly involved in the story due to Katrina Strauss’ attention to detail and the depth of emotion her writing conveyed. I can’t wait to read more of her work.
