Kiwi is a woman on the run, not only from her past but possibly from her future as well. She feels that she can’t become to close to anyone or they will become involved in her plight. Dr. Conell Ballou is a part bionic genius who can’t seem to keep his mind off of Kiwi from the moment she gets on his ship. Unbeknownst to either, their futures and their pasts are irrevocably entwined, no matter how much they might pretend to wish it were otherwise.

Magnetic Attraction is part of the Droid Wars series, while I don’t think it’s strictly necessary to read the first Droid Wars book it might fill in a bit of the back-story that impacts this one. Kiwi is a woman who is on the edge, tired of running and looking to take a bit of a break from being on her own. Conell is a genius who seems to go from smart to smart-aleck when around Kiwi. Both are attracted to each other, but Kiwi fights it because she doesn’t want to be responsible for anyone else getting hurt if her past catches up to her. Smoldering sex scenes, a little mystery and suspense, aliens, and adventures in space are all ingredients that make Magnetic Attraction a nice was to pass an hour of your day.
