Nobody Told the Wind
After a year, Sabrina Osterling decides to call upon her good friend, Jackson Rutledge, when she receives two small newspaper clippings about an island. While Jack is a sportswriter, Sabrina spends her time studying psychic phenomena, deciding what is true and what isn’t. She believes Jack is the only one that will believe her especially after their last incident together. It appears it has to do with a disappearance of ninety girls and thirty sailors surrounding the Mayans. Jack is not only curious about the mysterious island but his chance to see Sabrina again. She may be a fanatic health nut and difficult to read at times, but they still shared some fond memories together. At first he is a bit skeptical until she explores the realism of the island a bit more, and he sees something like a large island in the shape of a turtle out in the water where no land had been moments before. The more he and Sabrina are thrown into the investigation interesting facts begin popping up in the area. What appears to be part of an earlier evil of the Mayan civilization seems to be moving closer to them, and Jackson and Sabrina must stop it before it becomes too powerful to stop.
Nobody Told The Wind is an overwhelming tale that grips the reader to the last page. Once I started reading, I was mesmerized and unable to stop reading. I fell in love with the characters Sabrina and Jackson. They are very believable in their actions, and their dialogue and expressions pull the reader completely into the story. T.K. Sheils has the uncanny ability to spin a creepy story that keeps the reader absorbed. I love how he describes the island and makes everything ghost-like in a tale that gives the reader a spine-tingling effect. I kept getting an eerie feeling with each turn of the page. With some twists and turns and intrigue along the way, Mr. Sheils brings great drama into the home by spinning a crafty story.
