Tango’s Edge
Kerry Niles is one of the American ice dance skaters and Adam Cutter, is not only her partner, but love interest. Of late, she feels Adam smothers her too much, so she decides it is over. Russian dancer, Mikhail Kozlof is Elena’s dance partner, but they are not involved. Yet she doesn’t like it when Mikhail starts paying attention to Kerry. Mikhail catches Kerry off guard when he asked her for a dance. She agrees to one dance never anticipating the sparks that would fly between them. The thought of him kissing her sends chills through her, but he needs her for something more. Mikhail wishes to defect the country but needs help. He has information to give to the American government, and since her stepbrother works with the CIA, he hopes she can help. With a little persuasion Kerry agrees, never realizing the danger that would follow or how strongly they would be pulled together. Even though Kerry is out of love with Adam, Mikhail feels Adam is one equation that may still pose a problem. Adam may not be the one to worry about especially when Elena’s hatred surfaces. She is one person whose evil can be quite lethal. Kerry and Mikhail soon learn they have some enemies when they start out on their adventures together that not only wish to stop him from reaching the American government but allowing Mikhail and Kerry to find any love together.
Tango’s Edge is one thrilling ride. It kept this reader entertained and on the edge-of-the-seat with twists and turns I never expected. I love the chemistry of Kerry and Mikhail, not to mention the danger that draws them closer. The intrigue with Elena and Adam really adds a great addition to the storyline. There is never a dull moment with the characters in this story and the adventure of Kerry and Mikhail excites in this page-turner. Carole Bellacera allows her players to lift off the pages in this fast-moving read. The touch of mystery she instills with Kerry and Mikhail is wonderfully done. The plot is great; the dialogue and writing are superb. Each time the dance skaters were on the ice, I could get a feel of the whole setting making this one interesting read.
