The Pirate and the Pussycat

Cecilia Thomas, or Celia, is off to a Halloween party, and tonight she is a seductive cat woman. This is one night the high school science teacher plans to have fun. No one would even recognize her behind the mask. Just one look in the mirror and she looks exquisite, giving her a certain power. Devlin Wolfe is known to have a reputation as a philanthropist, and no one really knew his true appearance. He is the owner of the home hosting the masquerade party. Today he hosts the Halloween Ball to benefit local shelters. When Celia arrives she is given the lucky number seven, and in no time meets her partner who also holds the lucky seven. Celia believes she is in paradise when she enters the Jolly Roger room and learns she is allowed to be in complete charge of their time together. She even holds the power of any sexual activity for the evening which makes Celia more intrigued. Devlin is hiding a secret from Celia but when the masks come off will it be a bliss made in heaven or not?

The Pirate and the Pussycat is a fantastic read. Celia and Devlin are great characters that bring incredible camaraderie with some wonderful humor thrown into the storyline. Paisley Scott instills believable characters and realistic moments that leave the reader begging for more. I hated to let go of the story; everything about it was extremely well-composed. Everything surrounding the beginning, middle, and to the end was truly excellent. I felt all the events being played before my eyes with Celia entering the Halloween party and everyone dressed in their costumes. The heat sizzles above and beyond in this wonderful tale.
