Christmas Pride
Mace Llewellyn fell in love with Desiree MacDermot in high school. She moved in the middle of the year, and he never knew what happened to her or where she went but he still thought about her, a lot. Now he has finished his run in the army, and he is home to stay. He has hired an investigator to find Dez, but something even better has happened. Dex is a cop and is looking into a death that happened at his sister’s house. What could be better than walking into the house and running into the woman that he has waited twenty years to find? Explaining to her that he is not a “normal” man, but a man who can turn into a lion at the drop of a hat and he is her king of the jungle.

Dez fell in love with Mace in high school and had no choice but to move when her family decided to do that, and she missed him very much after the move. She went back once to find him. His sisters informed her that she would never be good enough for him’ so she left and never again attempted to find him. To find him now after all of these years is a dream come true for her. The king of the jungle, at least she can understand him where normally she can’t understand a man at all. Normally this might be a very weird match, but these two just might be able to make it work. As long as his sisters don’t kill her, and if they could figure out who killed the man on his sister’s property.

Shaw’s Tail
Brendon Shaw has had a heck of a night fighting hyenas to try to find his missing brother and ends up getting rescued by a pack of shape-shifting wolves. He is so glad to come out of the tunnel with the hyenas, and then the scent hits him. Every Alpha male knows that he will one day find his true mate, but he thought that he would be in a state where he could enjoy the experience a bit more than he does at the moment. The scent of the woman wraps around him like a blanket, and he knows that she is his mate. As soon as he recovers from this experience, he is going to work on claiming her as his own.

Ronnie Reed was put in a position to sit with the man, so that he wouldn’t be alone when he awoke from his encounter with the hyenas. It didn’t take a lot to convince her to stay with the man considering he was one of, if not the most, gorgeous man that she had ever laid eyes one in her life. She knew that he would go through a fever that would make him a bit horny, and she thought that she could walk away from him after he went through that. However, she discovered something very interesting about Brendon Shaw; she couldn’t walk away from the man like she thought she could. She was okay with that until the man decided to claim her as his mate.

If you need to read a book by an author that will make you so hot you’ll need an air conditioner, a fan and a very cold shower to cool off and will also make you laugh so hard you’ll need a box of tissues to mop up the tears then you need to sit yourself down to a book by Shelly Laurenston. In Christmas Pride the fact that the two characters were united after the years apart got my attention, and then I fell in love with Mace. The man is so hot and so in love with Dez that any woman would want to be in her shoes during this book. Shaw’s Tail is the perfect ending to this book because it picks up where the last one ends. Brendon wasn’t quite as much of an Alpha male as Mace was, but when he decided that he wanted Ronnie, we all knew that this book was going to be a very interesting read. I loved this whole Pack, and luckily Ms. Laurenston’s next book will include some of these amazing characters. I can’t wait to see what this wonderful lady can do with more of these characters.
