Tinsel Time
When Tinsel Christmas was a small child her mother was brutally murdered and she was found and rescued by Santa Claus. Santa and his wife adopted Tinsel and she has been living with them at the North Pole for the past eighteen years. Now she has just discovered that someone has been sending Santa Christmas cards demanding Tinsel and this year he said he’d kill Santa if he didn’t get Tinsel. Tinsel decides to hire a bodyguard to protect Santa and finds an ad for Noel Holiday in a New York paper. Noel is a New York police officer who is on medical leave after an accident left him seeing imaginary characters. But there is something else special about Noel, it turns out there were a string of murders the night Tinsel’s mother died and Noel has always been fascinated by the case. When Tinsel and Noel meet they are instantly attracted to one another but Noel refuses to indulge in meaningless relationships so he tries to set aside his lusty feelings. The murderer appears to still be alive and hunting Tinsel, can she and Noel figure out who it is before she is added to the murderer’s list?
For a short erotic story, Tinsel Time by Ericka Scott is cute, funny and entertaining to read. I liked the characters of Tinsel and Noel right from the beginning. They are charming, intelligent, and sensual. Their attraction to one another is instantaneous and strong which makes it very difficult for them not to get distracted from searching for a solution to the old murder cases. So there are a lot of frustrating moments because it is important that they find the murderer since he has Tinsel and possibly Noel on his list to murder next. The frustration is part of the fun! Ms. Scott keeps the reader in suspense over who the murderer is and if Noel and Tinsel will figure it out in time for the whole story. There isn’t much paranormal activity other than the fact that paranormal entities exist in the story; they don’t play a significant part but it does add to the fun. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading other stories by Ms. Scott!
