Wild: The Pack of St. James
Vivienne and Kyril have shared a past and hopefully a future together. They have a highly erotic relationship and both enjoy it thoroughly. However there are forces at work that can drive them apart.
Kyril is more than just a man, he is a dynamic character. He is an absolute alpha male who will do whatever he can to protect his woman. Vivienne feels like a normal heroine. She is not overly feisty or overly stupid – she is just fine as she is. The book opens with these two in heated action, and they do have some sizzling chemistry together. However, they do spend a good amount of time apart. It is somewhat annoying when the lead couple is split apart for a good chunk of the book. Eventually they do get back together again. There is quite a few secondary plots running through this story, and it felt like filler for when the lead couple was apart. At times, it did get a little confusing keeping everything and everyone straight. This reader liked it best when they were together as they were the most interesting part of the story.
Wild: The Pack of St. James seems to be the first book in a new series by Ms. Mack. Set in London and Russia, it gives readers some lush and rich backgrounds. The lead couple is wonderful together. Unfortunately they spent much time apart from one another, but there is a “happily ever after” that romance readers will enjoy!
