Knock ‘Em Dead

When Finley Tanner gets a knock on her door early in the morning, she knows it can’t be good-and she is right. When she opens the door she finds her friend Jane covered in blood screaming about a dead man in her bed. Finley gets her inside and calmed down enough to understand that after bringing home a blind date; Jane woke up with a corpse in her bed missing a vital part of his anatomy. Not knowing what else to do, Finley calls her attorney friend Becky then the police, only to be arrested and taken to jail in her pajamas along with Jane.

After being released from jail, Finley is determined to get Jane released also and even goes as far as begging her mother for money to post bail. When there isn’t a bail set, Finley starts investigating on her own, only to keep running into the hunky Liam McGarrity who offeres his private investigator services. She turns him down since she doesn’t need the distraction of trying to resist him. But after someone starts targeting her, it appears that she’s stuck with the sexy PI whether she likes it or not.

Author Rhonda Pollero has created another great book in the Finley Anderson Tanner Mystery series. Her characters are bright, witty and well rounded. Her ease of writing and quick pace make this story an enjoyable read, and Finley’s antics will have you bursting out in laughter.

I really can’t remember when I’ve enjoyed a series more than this one. The endings leave you satisfied while also keeping you eager for the next installment. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading one of Ms. Pollero’s intriguing stories, then you’ll want to be sure to pick up Knock ‘Em Dead. You won’t be disappointed in what is sure to be a runaway hit.
