On The Run

Robin Fleming knows it’s only a matter of time until something terrible happens to her sister Jamie or her nephew Bobby at the hands of her controlling, abusive brother-in-law, C.D. and has snuck into her sisters room while C.D. is away to convince her to leave while they have a chance. But as Robin is trying to get Jamie to see the danger she is in, C.D. comes home early and as Robin hides outside of her sister’s room, she witnesses the murder of her sister at her brother-in-law’s hands and can think of nothing other than to grab her nephew and run.

With Robin’s contacts from her job, she gets a new identity for herself and Bobby and a new life in Memphis as Laura and Andy. Things seem to be calming down a little and going good until the sexy man, Gage, starts paying a little too much attention to them both in a pizza parlor one night and then Andy gets sick and Laura wonders if she will be able to protect them both from the vicious C.D. while getting the help that Andy so desperately needs.

On The Run by Judith Rochelle is a fantastic book that takes you along an suspenseful journey that will bring tears as well as fear and joy as you experience the strong emotions that these incredible characters go through.

Laura, a.k.a. Robin, was such a strong character, I can’t even imagine the courage it would take in her position but can only hope that I would have half as much as she displayed. I really enjoyed Gage’s character as well since he didn’t press Laura to get the information he wanted or push her aside to assume the alpha role. He was there for her as we all would want for ourselves in that situation.

On The Run is a fast paced, enchanting story that shouldn’t be missed and with all the proceeds going to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, it’s just another great reason to buy this book! 5 Angels!
