One Hot Texas Night

Tate Donovan has always been aware that the Yellow Rose Ranch would be his when his father died since he was the only child his father had, and the ranch had been in his family for over a hundred years. Then he learns that his dad left his grandparent’s property and a quarter of the ranch to Abby Culhane, the daughter of the woman who ran out on his dad and there is no way Tate is going to let Abby get her greedy little hands on what belongs to him.

The last place Abby Culhane wants to be is back in the little town of White Tail, Texas and in front of Tate Donovan, the man or boy as he’d been then, that made her life hell while their parents had been married. But she’s back for the reading of King Donovan’s will and just wants to be done with it until Tate gets her back up and then she decides that she’s not going to give in and give him what he wants, no matter how sexy she thought he was.

One Hot Texas Night by Judith Rochelle is an intriguing, entertaining tale that was a delight to read. Tate and Abby were fascinating characters as they circled around each other, fighting the feelings they had for one another and bickering like children as most of the small town watched the sparks fly between them.

Judith Rochelle has painted a beautiful picture of this small Texas town that makes you feel like one of the townspeople with a front row seat to watch the fireworks. I would have liked to have seen a little less fighting and a little more understanding between them, but other than that I thought that this was a great read with a well paced plot and plenty of heat that I think readers will enjoy. 4 Angels!
