Rina Goldberg is enjoying her life and the steady relationship she has had for two months with her boyfriend Al until he surprises her with a marriage proposal. Rina isn’t sure what to think of his proposal, she never imagined it would happen this way; she always dreamed it would be romantic and she would be leaping with joy instead of the panic she’s currently feeling. Not knowing what else to do, Rina decides to wait for Monday night since it was awesome four night, the night she and her three friends got together to discuss their lives and see what advice they had for her.

When her friends suggest that Rina contact an old boyfriend that she spent an amazing summer with long ago to see if the sparks are still there, she is really nervous but figures an email couldn’t hurt and that he probably wont remember her anyways since he’s went on to be a famous music video director. But not only does Giancarlo remember her, he emails her right back and wants to get together again for dinner.


She’s on Top by Susan Lyons is the last book in the Awesome Foursome series and a terrific ending to a great series.

As a reader I could identify with Rina as she battled her self image issues but I also felt that it got a little tiring hearing about them so constantly and was thrilled when she would let it go and truly enjoy herself if only for a while.

The sparks were definitely there between Rina and Giancarlo and they threatened to start a full out blaze anytime these two got close to each other.

The leisurely pace that Ms. Lyons sets with this book combined with the intriguing, fleshed-out characters make this a great 5 Angel read.
