The Protectorate: Patriarch
The Protectorate: Patriarch by Dana Warryck is an erotic paranormal suspense story.
Aiden Marchant has finally located Cameron Ryben, but before he could stop him Cameron killed another woman, Melody, and vanished. Cameron is a rogue vampire that the Protectorate sent Aiden to exterminate. Aiden found the woman, but he found her child still alive, He took her for her protection. Aiden is a protector for his people and has dedicated his life to it, forsaking his chances for a family, and he has always kept himself separated from any type of emotional entanglements until now. At the same time, the police are tracking the killer, but they don’t have a clue about the true situation. Deputy Shanna Preston hears about a man who followed Cameron out of the bar right before the murder, so when Aiden approached Shanna, she realized that she finally found a clue. When Aiden met Shanna, the emotions he had ignored all of his life came roaring to life and even though he erased her memories, he couldn‘t erase his feelings. The problem is that Shanna proves stronger than he expected, and she tracked him down, setting in motion a chain of events that would forever change both of their lives. Will Aiden find a way to stop Cameron before he kills again and protect everything that he holds dear, his people and his growing feelings for Shanna or will the killings continue?
Ms. Warryck has created a phenomenal story that incorporates fast passed suspenseful plot line with a paranormal flare that captivates the reader from the start. Aiden on the surface has a very strong personality, but there are depths to him that were never explored until he met his fate, Shanna. There is more to Shanna than meets the eye, and when she meets Aiden, we learn that her strength of character is a perfect match for Aiden. Add to this, the fate of not only one child, but the vampire race and you have an incredible story that held me until the very end. The incredible bond between Aiden and Shanna was wonderful to watch unfold. I hope that there will be other stories about the lives of Aiden and Shanna. Thanks go to Ms. Warryck for a creative story.
