Aurelia is the crown princess of Tyralt, or so she thought. All Aurelia wants is to be her own person, to be free, yet all her royal duties keep weighing her down. Everyone has secrets her father, her sister, and her old friend, Robert, who shows up unexpectedly with two hidden agendas. Aurelia couldn’t help but wonder what her father’s former royal spy’s son was doing here. Of course, the biggest secret was that someone wanted Aurelia, and not just Robert, dead. Who would have thought that her step mom, the Queen, would have been at the top of the list of suspects? What’s a girl to do? Her father becomes more and more unlike the father she knows and loves. Her sister could possibly be the only one who understands, or is she to busy picking her next royal suitor?

I read romance/suspense books all the time, but this book had my attention all the way. I loved how Aurelia was so independent, and she knew just what to do in the situations she had to go through. Aurelia’s character was the kind of person I would LOVE to have as the President, or as my Queen. Even though I thought there could have been more to the ending, I got excited when I saw that there was going to be another one. The ending definitely left me wanting more!
