This is round three in the House of Night series. Just when Zoey Redbird thought things in her life couldn't get any worse, things did. Not only was she trying to help her best friend, Stevie Rae, claim her humanity once again and become part of the House of Night, Zoey was still having problems with the two boyfriends, well throw in an adult vampire, and now she has three. She also has the stress of yet another Dark Daughters Ritual. Just when things couldn't go from worse to worse, Zoey starts losing friends, and enemies turn into friends. If that wasn't bad enough adult vampires start dying, dead dying. When Zoey could use her friends the most, betrayals keep piling on. For Zoey it could be all or nothing.

The Cast ladies have surprised me yet again. I loved this because Zoey goes through so much, it’s one incident after another, and she still knows what to do and how to do it, even if sometimes it’s not the best choice. This book was just as good as the first two. I didn't know what to expect. Most authors would be down by book two. Every chapter had me wanting more. I’m not used to reading about the "undead". Ever since I read Marked, I read more and more about the "undead". The Cast ladies know what they’re doing. These books were written as if they were there witnessing what was going on. That’s how I felt every time I read a chapter, like I was Zoey. GREAT JOB!
