First Daughter: White House Rules
Sameera a.k.a Sparrow is the daughter of the new President of the United States, thanks to her blog. Sameera couldn’t have been more happy when her cousin, Miranda, comes to live with them in the White House for a couple of months. Just when things couldn’t get any better, they get worse. The guy she met last year, Bobby, suddenly stops talking to her, and she doesn’t know why. Suddenly her blogs are getting criticized, because she doesn’t know what it’s like to live a real life. All Sameera wants to do is support her father, have some time alone with Bobby without a heard of girl scouts, paparazzi, and secret agents, and write a killer blog that says who she really is. Sameera is willing to do anything to break out of her shell…even if it means sneaking away while she is supposed to be at a spa.
I’m not really used to reading these kinds of books, so I really didn’t know what to expect. I'm into the romance and happily ever after kind of thing. Sameera is so down to earth, I wouldn’t have expected that the daughter of the President of the United States would be so “I’m like everyone else even if my father is the most powerful being on Earth”. Plus I couldn’t believe the way they still acted like a family! I would have expected months of no communication. I thought the ending was great. For someone who hadn’t read the first one (not knowing about it of course), I wasn’t lost at all, and I thought it was over all a good book. I got bored a couple of times, but I got really excited too. If there was another one, I would definitely read it!
