Melody Sweet is a single woman who spends her time making yummy chocolate treats that make it a snap for others to express their romantic feelings. Unfortunately Melody doesn’t have anyone to shower her love and attention—or her chocolates—on. Life seems pretty ordinary for Melody until Valentine’s Day. That’s when things begin to change. She becomes the owner of a beautiful puppy who fills some of the emptiness in her heart. Then a secret admirer begins to show interest in both Melody and her new little friend and her life really begins to grow more interesting.

I really enjoyed this little story. It is sweet and tender and completely pulled me in, right from the first page. While it is very short, it tells a full story and is perfect for lunchtime reading. Bon Bons and Truffles is a light-hearted look at being a single woman during a couples holiday. The characters are the best part of this story. Melody was a smart character who immediately gained my sympathy and understanding. The little puppy was a great touch. It is hard to say too much about this romantic short story without going on and on. I don’t want to give away any of the plot so I’ll just say I liked it from start to finish. The twist at the end made me smile. There isn’t anything not to like in Bon Bons and Truffles by Teri Wilson. Dog lovers will especially get a charge out of it!
