All The Way Home
Maggie Dean used to live in Ohio but moved away to New York. She has a PhD in art history. Melanie Dean is Maggie’s sister who still lives in Ohio. Sam Callahan was the popular senior high school boy that Maggie had a crush on.
Maggie has been back only twice to her childhood hometown of Liberty, Ohio. Once three years ago for her father’s funeral and the second time was three months ago at her mother’s funeral.
Maggie’s sister needs help. She is pregnant and her husband Adam has just left her. The next thing Maggie knows she is back home and living with her sister. As Maggie is driving back into town she hears a dog whimpering and hurt. The next day Maggie takes the dog to the local veterinarian in hopes of locating its owner. To her surprise the veterinarian is none other than Sam Callahan.
Sam can’t stop thinking about Maggie after her visit to the vet’s office. Maggie is so elated when Sam asks her out on a date. Everything is good when Sam and Maggie start seeing each other.
Sam is falling for Maggie and thinking about starting a family with her but does she feel the same way? Also Adam, Melanie’s husband has come back after five months of being gone and wants to be a family again. Will there be a happy ending for Melanie and Adam?
The way Jenyfer Matthews writes is so fluent and easy flowing. It made it easy to read and a joy. You have just got to pick yourself up a copy of this book.
I loved the fact that Maggie was such an independent strong woman who thought she had everything she needed but than realized being around her sister that she just might be missing something: that crazy little thing called…love. It was amazing the way Melanie kept a sense of humor through the course of her pregnancy despite having her husband abandon her. Another great thing about this book was the loving sisterly bond Maggie and Melanie had with each other.
Jenyfer Matthews has now become one of my new favorite authors to read.
