What starts out as an innocent fire drill quickly turns into a full-fledged raging wildfire. Gertrude Randall is single and works at Lancaster and Associates. While running out of the building and down the stairs during the fire drill, Gert stumbles and falls, twisting her ankle. She tries calling for help and just when she thinks there is no hope, she is finally rescued.

Kevin Thomas is a tall, handsome fireman. Saving people’s lives is his job. So when he comes upon Gertrude there on the thirtieth floor in need of his help, he will do everything he can to help her.

Gert can’t help thinking that fireman Kevin looks familiar—like someone she used to date in high school. Read what happens between the reunion of these two old flames as the sparks start to fly. Kevin and Gertrude may be rescued from the building but not from each other. Their mutual attraction is very strong. Back in high school they were young. Now they are all grown up and ready to explore what they have been missing.

After news cast on television reports a fire where six firefighters were wounded and one died, Gertrude is reminded of her bother Tony who was a firefighter who lost his life. She starts to wonder whether rekindling the romance with Kevin is worth it.

This book is so hot that you might have to read it with mittens on. To find out if Kevin and Gertrude get back to together again you are going to have to pick yourself up a copy of this book and read it for yourself. The chemistry these two had was so smoking it was a good thing that Kevin is a fireman. Gertrude may think she is not ready to have Kevin in her life but luckily she is surrounded by a bunch of good friends to talk some sense into her. The fact that Kevin was sexy, hot and a man in uniform sure helped when reading this book. You can bet I will be checking out more books by Gabrina Garza.
