Kera Zoe’s life has always been a hardship, and now her poor excuse of a father has sold her for little money. She is a prisoner, waiting for a man to come purchase her as his sexual plaything. Devon will tame this wild woman and can’t wait till she is in his bed and at his mercy. But he is finding it really hard to be a considerate lover because Kera can pull some punches, especially when she aims for the crotch. But Kera can’t win and she quickly succumbs to Devon’s loving. But Devon doesn’t want Kera as a slave but as his wife. Their first night together is the start of their honeymoon. Devon feels he has made the right decision in marrying Kera and he can’t help spoiling Kera even though she is less than thrilled being married to Devon.

Now Kera must come to terms with her new life of luxuries she has never had. All Devon wants is for Kera to be happy and hopefully fall in love with him. But Kera still finds an excuse to think that Devon is the worst type of man and does whatever she can to escape his clutches.

Captive of Desire takes place in a world where men rule supreme and women are cattle. In the case of Kera, she has no options except to be owned by a man. And what a man Devon is! Jaden Sinclair has written a wonderful hero in Devon who takes a lot from Kera, but wants a mate and partner because he feels so lonely. Kera’s passion, whether it be from fighting Devon or from the sexual passion she experiences from this man makes for a fun and tantalizing read. Devon is too good to be true and Kera’s antics become old quickly, but this makes her surrender to Devon very sweet.

The sex between these two is hot and a bit forceful, but satisfying nonetheless. I was also intrigued by the fantasy world that has come from Sinclair’s imagination and I find myself looking forward to more stories from this author. I was captivated by Captive of Desire and don’t be surprised if you find yourself the same way.
