Knights Tiger

Quentin Cottell is traveling with his brother Saul. Quentin has dreams that are hard to explain. No matter how he wants to describe them to Saul, Quentin knows he will never understand them. Saul never did understand the mind of Quentin. Since their mother’s death, Quentin enjoys getting out and living the life he always dreamed. No longer did he have to continue living a sheltered life. He had given his life to his mother, and now it was his turn to live. She had been good to him, leaving him the money from the estate, claiming Saul didn’t need or deserve it. As for their sister Patty, who had not lived through the earthquake, the mother didn’t think she deserved it either. She had advised Quentin to travel and learn. She had asked about his dreams, telling him dreams were mirrors of the soul. Taking his mother’s advice, he followed his dream and headed to a Mayan city that had once been in his dream. The ones where he dreamed of his sister Patty seemed to surface often, and after reaching the Mayan city, Quentin discovers a surprise. He never imagined he would be confronted with some startling events that prove to be a bit frightening. After hearing that as a human being he is in danger that might not be able to be prevented. He wonders what will happen when his dreams become a reality.

Knights Tiger is a splendid read. I like the way the elements of horror, mixed with suspense, and a touch of fantasy is sprinkled into the story. I could almost share in the dreams that continue to slip into Quentin’s mind. I found myself many times wondering was he ever going to find peace of mind with the role he had to play with the dreams. Sometimes everything seemed so real as the events began to unfold. T.K. Sheils paints a tantalizing tale that kept this reader entertained. He instills a bit of betrayal, among the characters, as well as occurrences that keep the reader affixed to the pages. This thought-provoking book with an amazing plot that captivates has the reader wondering the real identity of the bad guy. I found this compelling novel mesmerizing from the start.
