Temporary Intrigue
Dimity Forbes is not ready for any man in her life. She is busy trying to help her brother Shane get a job, not to mention start an art gallery of her own. The pre-convention in town gives her the opportunity to work as a temp to earn more money for her gallery. It is there she meets Josh, who is coordinating another of his company’s holdings. Josh Williams finds Dimity quite unique but getting involved with anyone at the present could mess up his life. He believes Shane needs to mature fast. Dimity’s fathers dying wish was for her to take care of Shane. She believes Shane will eventually outgrow his youthful selfishness. Josh takes an interest in her even jumping in to defend her when she and Shane have indifferences. She gets underneath his skin in the worst way. Dimity doesn’t know if things will work for her and Josh. Her dream is opening a gallery then again Josh could become a permanent stature in her life. Throughout everything she faces some strange things start happening, leaving her feeling like someone is watching her. Josh believes he will have to keep an extra careful eye on her safety.
I really enjoyed Temporary Intrigue. Not only is there romance that keeps the reader entertained in this story, but a little mystery is woven into the pages. Dimity and Josh are refreshing characters. I thought the way they met then worked up to their relationship was interesting while learning about the other. There are some other characters and friends that play a nice role in this story, and each time I would read about them, I thought of similar people I had met in my journeys. I love how the author allows Josh to stand up for Dimity when the rough gets going. Dimity is so true to form by having to watch over her brother and work. Judy Huston paints believable players that make a difference in their life. She keeps the reader guessing all through the book as to who would wish Dimity harm. This is a satisfying read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
