Free lance writer Cheryl Witte is poised to get the scoop of her career, one which she hopes will be her ticket to the big time. She has discovered a book which supplies the reader with explicit directions on how to lure warriors from another world through a portal to find their mates. She sets up an elaborate camera system to catch the action…and then falls asleep waiting for them to show up.

Cy and Maksim, two sexually dominant vampires (who don't particularly like or trust one another) arrive to claim their bride, willing to shelve their differences in order to achieve their purpose. Cheryl proves to be quite a handful at first, but through careful training they are able to win her over, especially when she admits how empty her life at home was and how much more fulfilling a life with her new masters will be. In fact, in some ways it becomes more of question as to whether the two vamps will be able to make the adjustment of being part of a threesome?

Tawny Taylor chose a wonderful hook with Passion Unbound: Wicked Nights. She sets up her characters perfectly. However, it seemed as if this story is just too short to do them justice. Cheryl turns from being a powerhouse heroine into a sex slave within hours. Cy and Maksim are supposed to be vampires, concerned about her "change", but there is no time taken to mention any obvious vampire behaviors/needs, e.g. the desire for blood. At the same time though it should be noted that Ms. Taylor does an admirable job showing the different characters' points of views, and that Cheryl's mates respect that she is not a "pain whore"—which creates respect in return. And of course the sex is as it should be with two large, dominant vampires: smokin' hot! Three Angels
