Elle Reddington is trying to forget a painful past. She moves to Florida for some peace and quiet, yet keeps having erotic dreams about a wolf-man. Who is this man and could he be real?

Xavier Skye is the Alpha of a werewolf tribe called the Anubinake. There is a jewel that will verify that Elle is the true Alpha female for Xavier, but an enemy among their midst is trying to destroy them. Will Xavier be able to convince Elle that she is Anubinake before it’s too late?

This was an intense short story that gets to the action straight from the beginning. Elle and Xavier are such strong characters, that I wasn’t sure Elle would be able to commit to being the Alpha female, but she did so with ease. The feelings between Elle and Xavier developed quickly and the sex scenes were intense and frequent. Xavier is aware of who means Elle harm and tries his best to protect her. I wish this had been a little longer as I wanted to learn more about the Anubinake, but Ms. Bardsley did a pretty good job of describing the history and politics of the their culture. This story should be able to tide over any avid paranormal reader.
