With the help of some stolen business records, Ferda, Drake and Rand are in hot pursuit of information identifying the origins of Gelda’s cyro-unit. There isn’t a moment to waste, since possession of said records is a felony. And even with all the illegal action going on there is still time for Rand and his new lover Kalid to settle in and learn just how deep the attraction goes.

Finale in Blood is the fourth book in the Adventures in Blood series.

I have to admit I love the characters in the Adventures in Blood series. Each is strong and determined, but united to complete each other and bring life to the story. Ferda is the kind of woman I would hope to be in my old age. She knows her mind and still enjoys a bit of sexual play. Drake is still sexier than the law should allow, and even with all his power he never oversteps his boundaries. Rand is laidback and allows his new lover to spread his wings a bit without being overbearing. And Kalid is still trying to feel his way around, not showing anyone his true potential or all of his abilities. Kalid is a character I would have loved to read more about. I wish that Rand had more time to find out some of his secrets and help the young man work through them. Maybe I’ll get that wish in a future series. Madeleine Oh has created a wonderful series that I’m sad to see end, but plan to reread in the near future.
