Snowbound: Saved by a Vampire

Mother Nature is not one of Sandra’s friends at the moment. Lost in a blizzard with a rickety cabin as her only shelter, Sandra has a sneaking suspicion that the Grim Reaper is close at hand. The young woman is teetering on the verge of succumbing to cold when a man hot enough to remove the chill from her bones enters the cabin unexpectedly.

Gabriel is a vampire, and unfortunately he is as lost as Sandra on this cold winter’s night. Thanks to his preternatural senses, Gabriel is guided to the cabin and the substance it holds within. He is aware that their survival lies in Sandra’s willingness to surrender. Who knew a handsome man with fangs could actually be considered a savior.

Snowbound: Saved by a Vampire is a wonderful short story. Silvia Violet gave me just enough detail to imagine the scenery without distracting from the story. I enjoyed the characters and the chemistry they created. Sandra is cold but determined not to allow death to claim her. She keeps her whit and grace even when faced with the uncertainty of her predicament. Gabriel is charming and gorgeous. While he knows what needs to be done to survive, Gabriel attempts to remain a gentleman through to the final decision. From the way the story reads, I am guessing that Silvia has more in store for these fascinating characters, and I am anxiously awaiting their next encounter.
