The Mercenary’s Wife

The Wives Tales Book 4

The knowledge that the man you’re about to marry your sister off to has been married over a dozen times would cause most older sisters to have an aneurysm. Luckily Tyler Blackthorn is the result of Veronica’s hard work. A temporary husband well equipped to assist damsels in distress out of what would be disastrous, even deadly marriages. Tyler has always kept his dealings purely professional but at first glance Veronica speaks to everything inside of him. Family manipulation and the lust of a killer will leave Veronica needing some intervention of her own.

Tyler and Veronica both have pasts they would like to forget and as they embark on a new beginning together a shadowy past and one man’s inability to take no for an answer will force these two to decide if trust is something they are willing to share.

The Mercenary’s Wife brings The Wives Tales series full circle. With a couple of cameo appearances from past couples Lara Santiago creates another futuristic treat. Tyler is a modified human with as much wit as he has brawn. More forgiving it seems where the heroine is concerned Tyler and Veronica are actually a couple made in mercenary heaven. The Mercenary’s Wife was as thrilling as its predecessors and the excitement Veronica and Tyler created as well as the daring situations they continually found themselves in made this story one of the best. I wonder if this will be the end of Lara Santiago’s coveted series but I hope to see another about Tyler’s right hand Snake who deserves a little love too.
