Caitlin Kittredge pens an amazing urban fantasy that leaves reality at the door and drags the creatures out from under the bed. Her characters snap and are fully realized without endless descriptions and soliloquies and the plot flows with an even and fast pace. The unique ideas for lupine customs and laws bring the paranormal cast into a very real position. I was impressed with the matter-of-fact way that Ms. Kittredge laid everything out and let the story flow at its own pace without adding to it and bogging it down. I will be looking for more books from Nocturne City. If you are looking for a great urban fantasy, pick up Night Life.
