Tarot Card Anthology: Synchronicity Volume 1
Tarot Card Anthology – Synchronicity Volume 1 is the first book of a series of stories about people who’s life is about to get off kilter if they don’t make the right choice and soon. Abigail Montgomery has twenty-one people, one for each card in her tarot deck, who will come to her shop to have their fortune read and leave with the knowledge that they must make an important decision or else.
In The Magician by Michelle Hasker, Ada doesn’t believe in fortune tellers or magic so why did she let her friend Grace talk her into going to have her fortune told. All fortune tellers are phonies just out to take money from gullible people and they all tell you the same thing…you will meet a man or you will get rich. Why is she wasting her time even listening to this one? Of course, Abigail says the magician card is her future and that she will meet a man and has an opportunity for a new beginning. Yeah, right, what a crock. But what if it isn’t a lie, what does Ada really want in her life?
Christopher is the “man of honor” in his sister Julie’s wedding. Julie has decided all the bridesmaids, including Chris, are going to have their fortunes told. Chris’s card is The Hierophant in the story by Tina Bendoni in which Abigail says the card means someone of wisdom has something to teach him or that he may need to experience life in a different way. Chris thinks his life is just fine the way it is so why change, even if he did believe in this hocus pocus stuff. But could something or someone really be about to change his mind and make him want to change his life?
In Death by Michelle Hasker, Grace Evans tarot card fortune is the death card. Abigail says the death card can mean many things including a change in your life, but in Grace’s case it means death. Grace will die a physical death. How can Grace go on knowing that she is out of time? There are several things Grace wants to do before her life is through, one is to fall in love and find the man of her dreams. Does Grace have enough time to find love before she dies and what good is it to find love and then not be able to live with that love?
Sarah is finally divorced from her husband Darren and settled in a new town across the country. Her friend and lawyer Kathy talks Susan into visiting a fortune teller for fun. Susan’s fortune involves The Wheel of Fortune card in a story by that name by Tina Bendoni. Abigail tells Susan that her card means she has had a lot of change in her life recently, and after one more bit of business with the past, she’ll be free to enjoy her new life. When she returns home she discovers her home has been trashed and that her next door neighbor is a hunky detective. Has her ex-husband Darren found her already? Will she ever be free of him? And what is she going to do about the hunky policeman?
In The Judgment by Michelle Hasker Charlie Rose goes with Grace to visit the Tarot reader, Abigail, that Grace says nailed her fortune. Charlie’s card is the judgment card which could mean a rebirth or changes, but in her case it means she has to deal with something from her past she’d rather remained hidden before she can come out on top. She will be damaged by the experience, but she can overcome it if she makes the right decisions. Charlie allowed Andre to believe something hurtful about her, and he’s hated her for years. But there is a fine line between hate and love; what will Andre feel when he learns the truth? Can Charlie have another chance with Andre and does she want to?
Theresa has loved her job for the last five years, but now it may be ending. The company must merge to survive, and if anything goes wrong, they’ll all be unemployed. Theresa can get another job but she loved this one. She and her coworkers visit Abigail for a one card reading, and Theresa’s car is The Moon. In The Moon by Tina Bendoni Abigail tells Theresa her card means she is in a state of fluctuation but it also means intuition, and Theresa’s intuition is telling her everything will be ok. Theresa just needs to believe in her gut instinct and do what feels right for her during this time. Can Theresa do that, give up control and follow her instinct and let them lead her to make the right choices in her life?
Each of the stories in this anthology is directly related to the card drawn when each of the main characters sees the Tarot card reader Abigail Montgomery. All of the stories are entertaining and unique; no two tales are alike. The stories are emotional, and the decisions the main characters must make are heart wrenching in most of them. The future of each person also includes a partner, sex, and the potential for love. I really enjoyed this set of stories! The stories by Michelle Hasker are related to one another as the main characters in her three stories are friends. The stories by Tina Bendoni are three separate tales. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the stories to be released in additional anthologies following this one. If you enjoy quirky tales, Tarot readings, hot sex scenes, and emotional romances, you will enjoy the set of tales in this anthology!
