The Darkness

The Darkness by L.A. Banks is the tenth book in the Vampire Huntress Legend Series.

Several months after the battle of Masada, Eve discovers that the antichrist is no longer in the pupa stage and is now in the form of a man after believing for so long that Hannibal had slain the beast instead of just the pupa shell. Now they are on a mission to find and destroy him.

Lilith has broken the code used to create day-walkers and her husband is so pleased he gives her permission to pass the gift on to her councilmen.

After being woken up by the new day-walking Yonnie being dropped on their skylight, the day only gets worse for Carlos, Damali and the rest of the Neteru team when Father Pat is attacked in his church by Lucifer himself and the team must scramble to get Inez’s daughter and mother to safety while also tracking where the antichrist is being taken.

The Darkness is the first book that I have read in this series and I have to say it was fantastic! The characters are so well written and full-bodied that they feel more real than just words and descriptions on the pages. The world that the author has created is dark and scary while at the same time being beautiful and full of hope.

After finishing this book I figured out that the best way to read any book in this series is to jump in with both feet and hang on until the ride comes to a complete stop. I will be eagerly awaiting the second book in the new Crimson Moon series while catching up on the previous books I have missed in the wickedly tempting Vampire Huntress Legend Series.
