Called By Power by Auburnimp and Michael Barnette is the first book in the Dragon and Fenyx Swordbrothers series.

Flamespirit is out in the middle of a black storm, sandstorm trying to find shelter before it is too late when he sees a warcycle half buried in the sand. Flamespirit finds the injured rider and heals him even though he knows there will be trouble. The rider, Stormdragon, is more than a match for Flamespirit and the two find shelter. Stormdragon is a Windmage, and he helps Flamespirit return to his clan even though it weakens him. Flamspirit’s clan have never accepted him completely, but he uses his powers of healing and fire to their benefit. Stormdragon soon realizes that Flamespirit is much like himself, alone in the world. Stormdragon’s clan cast him aside when his brother’s lies said he was unworthy when he abandoned his sword brother at his death, which he didn’t do. As Stormdragon and Flamespirit’s worlds collide, will they find a love beyond time as power calls to power or will others prevent the union that Stormdragon’s dead lover set into motion from the grave?

Auburnimp and Mr. Barnette have created the beginning of what looks like a phenomenal series. I am fascinated with the powers that Stormdragon and Flamespirit have and look forward to learning more about them. Stormdragon and Flamespirit have had difficult pasts, but can look beyond each others exteriors to the individual inside. Together they create a love based on attraction, spirit and a desire to be with the one that completes them. I look forward to the next book in the Dragon and Fenyx Swordbrothers series.
