On Death’s Wings by Auburnimp is the first book in the Fallen Angels series.

Samael walks the streets of the city without fear or care because he is the Angel of Death. Samael left heaven when humanity was very primitive. Now he exists on earth hiding his true identity, but how many people would really believe him anyway? Samael comes upon a man beating up a boy, and something about this boy calls to Samael causing him to intervene and save Daniel's life. Life on the streets has not been easy for Daniel, and he has a hard time understanding what Samael could want with him. Samael gives Daniel an ultimatum- stay and die or go with him and put his life in Samael’s hands. What is in store for Daniel, and does Samael even know? Come follow Samael and Daniel as they begin their journey together.

Auburnimp has the beginning of what looks like a very intriguing series. The use of fallen angels is not new, but the twist in this story is fascinating. Samael on the surface appears to be very hardened, but I think there is much under the surface than meets the eye. The reader realizes there is more to Daniel when he starts to ask Samael some very intriguing questions. Daniel is more accepting of the unexpected and unusual things that happen around Samael than most people would be. Together Samael and Daniel light a spark between them that may change their destinies. I look forward to the next book in the Fallen Angels series.
