Sins of the Past

Sins of the Past by Amanda Young is a homoerotic contemporary romance.

Angela is living on borrowed time, and she is determined to have the one thing that every woman wants, a child to love. Angela picks out a man at a bar and decides to make her dream come true.

Years later, Ryan basically lives for his work. He used to bed every woman that he could find to prove to himself that he wasn't gay, but the fit was never right. Now, Ryan spends his time alone without any prospects until his friend’s brother sets him up with a blind date. In spite if his reservations, Ryan goes on the date, and he meets Andrew, the most beautiful man he has ever met. Andrew has blond hair, blue eyes, and the kind of sleek physique that Ryan adores. Unfortunately, Ryan was burnt in the past by a well-to-do man and this colors his reactions to Andrew. Andrew likes what he sees until Ryan’s behavior puts an end to his budding interest. Andrew’s home life with his daughter Katie is busy with mundane things and leaves little time for meeting men. Katie is an adorable imp who is a different from Andrew as she can be. Ryan sends Andrew an apology, and they decide to give it one more try. Their second date is a polar opposite from before and sparks fly between them, but life has a has a way of throwing unexpected obstacles in their way .Will Andrew and Ryan find a way to explore their feels or will they loose out on the relationship for all time?

Ms. Young developed a storyline that blends many present day issues in a love story that is both poignant and erotic. Ryan has a past that he isn’t proud of, but he is willing to place his future on a man who is everything that he never thought he would find. Andrew has a home life that is fulfilling, but he finds a hole in his life that Ryan can fill if they are willing to give love one more chance. The contemporary issues about coming out and balancing a family with a love life keeps this story rocking while Ryan and Andrew learn that love isn’t always easy. Thanks go to Ms. Young for a fast paced story that held me captive from the start.
