Teacher’s Pet

Teacher’s Pet by G.A. Hauser is a homoerotic contemporary romance.

Jeremy can’t believe summer vacation is over. He is back to the grind in college, but he is about to get the surprise of his life. Unlike his roommate Kevin, Jeremy has never drooled over the opposite sex; the exact opposite is true. Jeremy is gay but in hiding about his sexuality. Their new art teacher walks in, and Jeremy is stunned by the amazing hunk of flesh he sees before him, Professor Peter Foster. It helps that Peter is funny, smart and very creative to boot. Jeremy catches Peter’s eye, but he doesn’t realize that Peter is just as enthralled by Jeremy’s looks and personality. Jeremy can’t get Peter out of his mind, and he lives for class time to be near him. While Peter feels the same, he has problems of his own dealing with a wife he never wanted who interferes in his life, refuses to give him his freedom, and takes joy in causing him as much grief as she can. As the two get closer, they have to deal with one very nosey female student who is bent on causing problems after Jeremy refuses her advances. Will Peter and Jeremy find a way to overcome their problems so they can explore their budding feelings for one another?

Ms. Hauser has created a very moving story about two very real-to-life men utilizing contemporary social issues. Jeremy may be in the closet, but he is very aware of what he likes and is willing to take a chance at love. Many people are as scared as Jeremy about how they will be treated if they come out and if they will loose their friends and families. Peter has a lot of baggage to deal with, but if Jeremy will wait for him, they could have a chance at finding something they are both looking for- the love of a lifetime. Together they share a love that is both poignant and very erotic. I hope that there will be other stories about the lives of Peter and Jeremy.
