A Fostered Love
Christian Sanchez never thought that Jonah Roberts would step back into his life. Much less when their former foster mother passes away. But Jonah has never forgotten Marisol or Christian, and he's come back to honor her wishes. Jonah has lived with the memory of the young Christian haunting him for the past fifteen years. He knows that he was nothing but trouble when he was younger, and he refused to bring Christian down with him. But Christian has not forgotten Jonah either; he has had an unrequited love for him for all these years, and when Jonah shows up, it's all Christian can do to contain his feelings. Can the two overcome their pasts and make a new future?

Cameron Dane has done it again with her riveting story of two men with troubled pasts trying to make a new future for themselves. Christian and Jonah are two unique individuals, each from the foster care world. Both spent time in the home of a wonderful woman, Marisol. She served as a moral compass for both men. Although Jonah got in trouble and spent time in juvenile hall as a teen, Marisol had a great impact on him. Christian got to spend longer time in her care, and upon her death he is left with the task of taking care of her estate. When Jonah shows up he dredges up memories that are highly emotional for Christian and Jonah as well. Jonah's lack of social skills and guarded nature make him an interesting character and his emotional growth was handled deftly by Ms. Dane. It is only through his memories of Marisol and his renewed contact with Christian that he can finally come to grips with his abusive past. Adding to the enjoyment of the story are several well-written sensual scenes and a side story that shows the sexual tension between two secondary characters, Rodrigo and Abby. I hope we see them in their own story sometime soon. I have yet to read a book by Cameron Dane that has failed to keep me so deeply engrossed that I lose track of time. I eagerly await each and every offering from this fantastic author.
