Eric Stanton is a struggling medical student. He works long crazy hours as an intern at the hospital and then comes home to his job as a pizza delivery driver. It keeps a roof over his head and a bit of food on the table. He has little time for a relationship or even a day off.

Zac Grainger has his job coaching high school football. He has a close knit group of likeminded friends, a loving family, and he is content with his life. Every other Saturday he and his buddies get together for a night of Poker, beer, and a good time. When Zac orders a pizza he is surprised by the hottest thing he's seen in a long time.

The attraction is mutual but Eric uses the small bit of free time he has for sleeping. Zac is willing to take what Eric will give him but can he convince Eric that it will be worth it?

I love Carol Lynne and her talent for creating wonderful characters that immediately grab your heart and refuse to let go. I was excited when I read that she was beginning a new series and leery at the same time. Thankfully Texas Hold 'Em was a fantastic jumping off point for the Poker Night series. Filled with all the passion and heat that this reader wants in her stories and delightful characters that are easily loved, I find myself gushing with love for Zac and Eric, not to mention the secondary characters Marco, Angelo, Trey, Kent and Bobby. I would love to get to know them better and can't wait for their stories. Zac and Eric were both delightful to read about and the sex was steamy, tender, and hot! So if you are looking for a smoking hot read with great characters this is the story for you!
