When Alvian lab tech Jaci 192 makes a huge mistake preparing samples for the latest genetic experiments, she knows that her life is about to change drastically. Powerful human telepaths, Mike and Dave are cousins who have used their gifts to survive, and now they will use any means necessary to save themselves, Jaci, and what's left of their race. Now that Jaci's DNA has changed and her hard to contain emotions have put her in danger from the Alvian's deadly form of justice, will they be able to survive to live out the legend?

With this being the third in the Resonance Mate's series, I was unsure if I would be able to understand everything fully since I have yet to read the first two. Thanks to a wonderfully skilled storyteller, I was easily able to pick right up and run with this action packed, futuristic, love story. Bianca D'Arc subtly peppers the story with explanations and descriptions, so that the reader doesn't feel like there's a recap of the previous books in the first few chapters. The stark contrast between the Breeds and the Alvians really comes across in this story with the emotional changes that Jaci experiences. I could almost feel her horror at what her people have done to an entire planet and civilization. There's a much deeper meaning between the lines of this story. It isn't just merely a love story set in the future. I look forward to reading the first two and gaining a better understanding and love for the Resonance Mates.
