Destination Pleasure: Naked Bluff
Despite knowing that her friends with benefits relationship with Prince Mak will be ending soon, Clarisse cannot help but want him with everything that she has. They have had this relationship for years, but as the youngest son and prince, his family is pushing for him to choose a proper bride. Clarisse certainly doesn't fit that bill as an American or as a professional poker player. Clarisse decides to enjoy Mak as long as she has him, but doesn't realize that her plans may be shorter than she expected, when Mak's parents show up earlier than expected.

Naked Bluff may be a short story, but Betty Hanawa made use of each and every word by giving her readers a few really hot sex scenes laced with love, realistic and flowing dialogue, and surprisingly well-developed characters, especially Clarisse. Clarisse loves Mak, but is mature and intelligent enough to know that he cannot be hers forever, so she enjoys what time she has with him. She is also very good at her job, a professional poker player. She knows how to bluff, how to read her opponents body language, and how to count the cards that have been on the table. Clarisse also takes up for herself and what she believes in, making her a truly admirable person. I did not get to know Mak as well, but from what I can tell, he also lives life as he wants, and he wants Clarisse.

This is the first book I have read by Betty Hanawa, but I am impressed enough to say that I will be looking for more from this author.
