Moonlight Warrior
When Eve Anderson left her home and life back in Boston after a toad ruined her life, I mean her ex-husband ran off with their neighbor and their money, she didn't realize that a cheat wasn't the last of her troubles. An ailing mother and more financial issues take a backseat to the strange men that are suddenly thrust upon them. At least Kenzie Gregor is definitely easy on the eyes.
An immortal warrior now able to have a life as a mortal man, Kenzie can't throw away hundreds of years of moral conditioning. When he sees Eve, he finds himself wanting to help her even if she wants nothing to do with him or his help. Now faced with his duty and Eve's stubborn attitude Kenzie must open his heart as wide as he's opened his arms.
Another chapter in the tale of time-traveling warriors, Moonlight Warrior brings us Kenzie's story which was started in Secrets of a Highlander. What a fantastic world Janet Chapman has carved out in the Eastern wilds. I was so happy to see that the tale didn't end with Winter's story. Moonlight Warrior doesn't skimp on story or characters. Kenzie was such a hunk, a true gentleman and a sensitive soul that still was strong enough to make me swoon (figuratively of course.) While Eve had a handful and a half to deal with, she never lost her center core throughout. I was impressed with how she dealt with all of the issues that came up. The relationship between her and her mother was awesome. It brought a tear to my eye a few times. In reading the dedication and also the note at the end I can see how Ms. Chapman was able to pen such amazing interaction and again teared up. Thanks for sharing this story with us, not only Kenzie and Eve's, but a taste of Ella's as well.
