Fortuna, being blind, isn't swayed by his handsome countenance and insincere flattery.

Charles Lowden, Lord Granville, desiring a wife, looks around the society functions, and decides the young, beautiful Juliana will do. The only blemish the girl has is her absolute dragon of a cousin. Upon their first meeting, Lady Fortuna insults him by not looking directly at him, but over his shoulder, as though he is too insignificant to acknowledge. Then she opens her mouth.

Blind Fortune is an intriguing romance between two unlikely people. The blind from birth Fortuna is a unique heroine. Her prickly demeanor is her best defense against the cruelty of others. Charles, a man priding himself on being painfully polite, makes mistake after mistake interacting with her. As Charles spends most of the novel committed to Juliana, he doesn't allow himself feelings for Fortuna. This is admirable but dampens the chemistry between Charles and Fortuna. Blind Fortune is a special historical romance with one-of-a-kind characters.
