Forgotten Children
Sara and Mark Daniels have been blissfully happy for twelve years. They are always there for each other, and now they are trying to conceive. When Sara starts to ovulate, Mark believes the moments come at the most inopportune times. As a reporter, the opportunity for him to help with the situation, when the iron strikes for Sara, often causes him to not be able to help with her request. Aside from keeping his marriage intact, Mark finds himself, along with reporter friend, Don, investigating some of the deaths transpiring in their small town of Lawton, Virginia. Further searching, only shows they have no substantial evidence to back them up. After the death of Sara's good friend, Mark and Don believe something is really amiss. When more deaths occur, they are eager to find a way to uncover the real reason behind the deaths. Unfortunately, they appear to be running out of luck. As chaos continues to strike the town, can anyone stand against the power that is spreading through the area?

Forgotten Children is a page-turning read. I thought the premise and plot was constructed very well. The blending of the suspense and intrigue, along with the couple of Sara and Mark, was balanced where I was completely drawn into the storyline. I love how the moments between Sara and Mark transpire as they try to work around their schedules when she ovulates. It makes the couple appear life-like and real in so many ways. Michael Davis creates a splendid read that kept me captivated. He does a superb job in the way he fashions the story with the disease affecting the children, not to mention the older people. It is on the edge of your seat entertainment. The cast of characters make this a powerful story that thoroughly engages beyond words.
