The Fallen Fae
The Fallen Fae by Connie Wood is an erotic paranormal short story.

Shae has lived all his life in heaven, but has longed for something unknown that lies just beyond Heaven's gate. He is a guardian angel, but has never been allowed to leave Heaven to fulfill his destiny. After so many millenniums Shae gives into desire, taking the plunge and flies beyond Heaven's gate to obtain a small measure of freedom. Unfortunately, it is too late when he realizes that once taken there is no turning back. Shae is banished from Heaven to spend the eternity as a fallen Fae existing between the Fae and Human realm.

Uncounted time later, Hamish is in danger of loosing his wife, so he calls out for help from an ancient force, bringing forth a mythical being, Shae. Shae, as a fallen Fae, agrees to help with a price attached, Hamish's first born female. Shae watches over the family protecting them, but one member Aleta draws him like no one Fae or Human ever has. Can love grow between a Fae and Aleta or is it doomed to failure before it even begins?

Ms. Wood has written an incredible short story incorporating the paranormal into modern society in a perfect blend. I am fascinated with how the angel Michael was portrayed with his majestic continuance while also showing hints of human frailties. Shae's fall from grace and acceptance of his new life was poignant to behold. The erotic scenes between Shae and Aleta were moving and very beautiful. It was fascinating to watch Aleta as she struggled to come to grips with what she thought was a dream, but in reality was true, Shae's true identity. That struggle reminds me of each persons fight to recognize the truth between reality and fantasy, which is sometimes one and the same. Thanks go to Ms. Wood for a superb story.
