Palace of the Jaguar
Undercover CID Agent, Ali Donavon was an expert at her job. No task was too great for Ali nor would she cower away from any criminal that crossed her path. So when Ali was approached about working on an elite task force to bring down a notorious drug lord, she eagerly jumped at the chance. However, what Ali didn’t bargain on was being settled with a difficult partner who despised working undercover with others. And, even worst, being instantly attracted to him.

After his partner’s death, FBI Agent Jack ‘Gun’ Gunnison preferred to work alone. So, he was not to keen on having a partner on his new undercover assignment, especially with a woman who set his soul on fire. But, Gun was willing to do whatever it took to get the job done especially when the opportunity had presented itself for him to even the score with the man who was responsible for his partner’s death.

With both working together deep undercover on a very dangerous assignment and with the strong attraction growing continuously between them, will Gun and Ali be able to pull everything together in time to eliminate their target or will all unravel under pressure resulting in a deadly, failed mission along with a broken heart?

With non-stop action and a super-hot romance, Betty Womack’s Palace of the Jaguar was a stupendous read that I enjoyed immensely. I found the characters of Palace of the Jaguar to be well-developed with realistic flaws. These two detectives had a love/hate relationship with each other. Neither wanted to appear weak by falling in love without the other feeling the same way, so Ali and Gun were determined to keep their sexual relationship casual. As you can imagine the casual thing didn’t work for long and it wasn’t long before their feelings for one another deepened into something special. I really enjoyed getting to know both Ali and Gun. They were equally matched in every way. Both were highly intelligent, tough as nail and showcased great sex appeal. Readers, you don’t want to miss out on this fantastic read.
