Rina Devargas is on the run and in trouble in more ways than one. He works for the same covert operation as her brother and claims he wants to keep her safe, but with her brother's parting words, she knows she can't trust anyone. Rina had spent one amazing night in Connor's arms and then he disappeared without a backward glance. Though she isn't sure who to trust, she wants to stay alive, even if it means being close to the man that has never left her dreams.

Intrigue, suspense, and red hot sex combine to make a combustible story. Rina is troubled by the feelings she has for Connor, and with her reservations about his honesty, she finds herself between a rock and a hard place. The chemistry between Rina and Connor is edgy and sizzling. The sexual tension adds a great dimension to the story. Slightly sluggish in some places while they are on the run, the story immediately picks the pace right back up and has the reader wondering who can be trusted and who can't. Desiree Holt is a talented author that I always enjoy reading.
